SO MUCH FOR DOOMSDAY

Comet Elenin (C/2010 X1), widely known for inaccurate reports of its threat to Earth, appears to be breaking apart. Observations by amateur astronomer Michael Mattiazzo of Castlemaine, Australia show a rapid dimming and elongation of the comet's nucleus akin to that of Comet LINEAR (C/1999 S4), which also disintegrated when it approached the sun in 2000. Comets are fragile objects, so this development while unexpected comes as no surprise. Readers with pertinent images of Elenin are invited to submit them here.

Huge Bubble filmed over Hawaii in June now shows up over Beijing! New Phenomenon ?

It was quite a sight over the skies of Beijing Thursday. A mysterious bubble cloud of sorts caught the attention of many in the city. The seemingly unique phenomenon has become somewhat of a hit on the Internet.
Photos were posted online of a mysteriously huge bubble cloud over the skies of Beijing and surrounding areas Thursday, which raised concerns and discussions among netizens. Stranger still the huge cloud bubble was filmed above Hawaii in June!

RED SPRITES

High above Earth in the realm of meteors and noctilucent clouds, a strange and beautiful form of lightning dances at the edge of space. Researchers call the bolts "sprites"; they are red, fleeting, and tend to come in bunches. Martin Popek of Nýdek in the Czech republic photographed these specimens on August 27th:
"Sprites are a true space weather phenomenon," explains lightning scientist Oscar van der Velde of Sant Vicenç de Castellet, Spain. "They develop in mid-air around 80 km altitude, growing in both directions, first down, then up. This happens when a fierce lightning bolt draws lots of charge from a cloud near Earth's surface. Electric fields [shoot] to the top of Earth's atmosphere--and the result is a sprite. The entire process takes about 20 milliseconds."
Although sprites have been seen for at least a century, most scientists did not believe they existed until after 1989 when sprites were photographed by cameras onboard the space shuttle.

Fukushima radiation 168 times that of Hiroshima atomic bomb

The amount of radioactive caesium that has leaked from the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant is roughly 168 times that released by the atomic bomb the US dropped on Hiroshima in 1945, according to Japan's nuclear agency.

The Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency said the privately owned and operated plant has released 15,000 tera-becquerels of caesium-137, which lingers for decades and could cause cancer.
That compares with 89 tera-becquerels released by the US "Little Boy" uranium bomb.
The agency supplied the estimate at a parliamentary panel's request.
The US dropped "Little Boy" on Hiroshima on August 6 1945, destroying most of the city and killing around 140,000 people.
The atomic bombing of Nagasaki three days later killed tens of thousands more.
The Hiroshima bomb claimed most of its victims in the intense heatwave and neutron rays from the explosion and the highly radioactive fallout.

Targeting Coronal Hole(CH473) in the northern hemisphere which could produce a significant earthquake possibly 8+ in magnitude. Time frame August 28-30.
First region is plotted to 28-32° North Latitude
Possible regions that could be at risk for a significant earthquake are:
Southern Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bonin Islands Japan, or the Gulf Of California region.
Northern Hemisphere watch is associated with a coronal hole(CH473) 35-40° Latitude and the areas at risk for a significant earthquake are:
Azores Island Region-Portugal, Honshu Japan or volcanic activity in the Iceland region to relieve stress in the European block.
Time frame Aug 30-Sep 2.
OLR anomaly indicates areas that could receive a significant earthquake are Honshu Japan, Queen Charlotte Region Canada, Guam, Mariana Islands, Azores Islands Regions.

A Pileus Iridescent Cloud Over Ethiopia

Yes, but how many dark clouds have a multicolored lining? Pictured, behind this darker cloud, is a pileus iridescent cloud, a group of water droplets that have a uniformly similar size and so together diffract different colors of sunlight by different amounts. The above image was taken just after the picturesque sight was noticed by chance by a photographer in Ethiopia. A more detailed picture of the same cloud shows not only many colors, but unusual dark and wavy bands whose origins are thought related to wave disturbances in the cloud.

It seems at this time the msm is becoming more accepting of ufo sightings, or there really are more sightings. I think its quite amazing so many people are seeing these ufos and can now take video and picture. Are we finally opening our eyes to the possibility something else in visiting our planet?
