Indian scientists are flying through storm clouds as part of a new plan to seed them with rain-inducing chemicals to try to control the timing of the annual monsoon, whose late arrival is causing havoc this year.
As Britain sweltered in temperatures of up to 32C (90F), the late monsoon means that India is suffering temperatures as high as 49C, which have caused severe crop damage, water and power shortages, and at least 100 deaths.
In Delhi some residents have been sleeping in their air-conditioned cars — with engines running — during power cuts of up to 12 hours a day. The government of the southern state of Andhra Pradesh has ordered all churches, mosques and Hindu temples to pray for rain.
The crisis illustrates how vulnerable India remains to the elements, especially the monsoon, which dominates the lives of the estimated 740 million people living in the countryside.

Beth Jacobson worked for Wells Fargo - one of the largest banks in the US - for nine years. She was a champion salesman for the company, shifting huge numbers of sub-prime mortgages.
Some awards are the shape of table-top obelisks. Others look more like local football club trophies, with small metal plates screwed onto them, and a list of dates and numbers.
The numbers are large.
"That was for $4.9m [£3m] for 17 sub-prime loans. This month was 26 sub-prime loans. I did over $6m at that point," she says.
She says her tactic was to make sure all the loans she issued were for sub-prime borrowers.
"It was a lot easier to put people into a sub-prime loan. If you take the application and said 'OK, how much do you have in the bank?', and then not ask for any back-up documentation, that would keep it as a sub-prime loan," she explains.
"If you would have [asked] for a couple of bank statements, that would have proved that they could have gone prime, but if the sub-prime loan officer [has] already been able to sell that rate to that customer, then why would you take it prime and cut your commission by two-thirds?"
Liar loans
Under a sub-prime mortgage customers didn't have to prove their income. They didn't have to pay a deposit. The lender made a lot of money - and the customer typically ended up paying a much higher rate of interest.
There has been some anecdotal evidence that companies were deliberately pushing people into such loans when they simply weren't suitable.
Beth Jacobson is one of the first to lift the lid on what was going on, and therefore to shine some light onto the origins of the housing crisis which helped ignite the global recession.

High-Flying Banker Boumeester Found Dead

A Dutch financier who went missing after leaving his job at troubled banking group ABN Amro has been found dead with gunshot wounds.
Fears grew for the safety of high-flying banker Huibert Boumeester when he missed a business appointment. He had not been seen for a week.
Police said two of his shotguns had also disappeared from his homes in London and Scotland.
The body of the 49-year-old former chief financial officer at ABN Amro was found in woodland in Winkfield near Ascot, Berkshire, on Sunday morning.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said they could not confirm the identity of the dead man, but added: "He is believed to have died from gunshot wounds.

Explanation: Japan's Kaguya spacecraft crashed into the Moon last week, as planned. Officially named the Selenological and Engineering Explorer (SELENE), the spacecraft was given the nickname Kaguya after the princess in the Japanese folklore story The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. Pictured above is a movie taken by Kaguya during the last orbit of its twenty-month lunar mission. A desolate, hilly, and cratered terrain passes underneath as the spacecraft barely clears a few peaks. At the movie's end, the spacecraft disappears into darkness near GILL crater. Robotic SELENE carried thirteen scientific instruments and two HDTV cameras. The groundbreaking mission took data on lunar topology and composition that are being used to better understand the origin and history of Earth's unique and ancient companion. Data and images from Kayuga and the recently launched Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter could be used to choose good locations to land future Moon-exploring astronauts.

Two French students, working on the real origins of bird flu, tortured, killed in London

Two French biochemical students, Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez, were murdered by Israeli Mossad-British intelligence assassination teams on June 29, 2008. Both Bonomo and Ferez were studying at the prestigious London Imperial College researching the origins of bird flu and the link to the alleged vaccines.
The murders were first revealed by France’s Directorate for Internal Security, not by Britain’s Scotland Yard, making it likely that the students were French intelligence officers. London police arrested Daniel Sonnex, 23, and Nigel Edward Farmer in the killings.
A joint French-U.S. Intelligence anti-terrorist task force in Paris, headed by former Secretary of State Colin Powell and former head of French intelligence Jean Crout�, for years has monitored the activity of the Israeli mercenaries. The patriotic American-French team has allegedly prevented various scripted terrorist attacks, i.e. false flags, on both the United States and Europe, with the planning of the attacks actually originating inside the compromised intelligence agencies of the United States, the United Kingdom, Israel and Germany, according to task force sources.
The two researchers had discovered that the alleged bird flu vaccine, H-7, which was designed to neutralize and stop the H5N1 avian flu virus, had been spliced using DNA to actually create a vaccine and an illness producing virus at the same time. The French students had also discovered that the bird flu vaccine, i.e. a virus, had links to U.S., British and Israeli laboratories associated with the noted Mossad agent, Dr. Philip M. Zackerie.
Israeli microbiologist Zackerie, known as “Dr. Zack,” worked for the U.S. bio-weapons lab at Ft. Detrick, Md., where he was photographed handling the strain of anthrax used in the post 9-11 attack according to published reports. He was a consultant at the FBI linked company Gilead Sciences Inc. of Boulder, Colo. Gilead Sciences has been linked to the 9-11 anthrax strain and to the bird flu vaccine.
The two French students, who had their apartment broken into one week before their brutal assassination, also had their lap-top computer stolen and their apartment fire-bombed.

We were looking at the Circle Connectors website this evening, when my son mentioned that the symbols on the formation at South Field, Near Alton Priors, Wiltshire, June 27th, looked like something he had seen in a Mayan depiction. I did some research and found some correlation to at least some of the symbols on Mayan calendar wheel. I referred to the calendar wheel link provided from Calleman’s site at www.calleman.com , which referred me to mayaportal.lucita.net . The symbols at the bottom of the appendages at each side of the formation appear to be “Oxlahun” or Tone Thirteen, which represents ascension and the completion of all things. The energy of this tone completes, evolves, and transcends. About halfway up the appendage on the left, there appears to be the symbol for “Uac” or Tone Six, which represents flow and movement of volume through space, creating time.
Perhaps an expert in Mayan translations could decipher more of the meanings of this formation. Just thought I would put the idea out there that this might be an avenue to explore.

Former British Royal Air Force official saw Alien Orb create Crop Circle

I have been researching the Crop Circle phenomena since I saw my first one in 1976. I had been on a "night watch" for UFO's on Clay Hill in Warminster. Three separate orbs of approximately six feet in diameter of coloured light had been weaving around and above us for some three hours on the top of Clay Hill, merging at times into a single globe and then separating again above us, suddenly one of the orbs descended to some thirty feet above us and then flew down into a field at the base of Clay Hill.
As dawn broke I noticed a flattened circle in a field of wheat. On inspection there were no broken stalks just a perfectly flattened circle some thirty feet in diameter. At that particular point in time I had seen and had knowledge of the famous "Tulley UFO Nests" in 1966 at Australia but had not heard of anything of a similar nature in this country. There then appeared to be a lapse in the appearances of any Crop Circles despite my search and request for any information on them until the early 1980's.
In my search and research for them during that period of time I uncovered a mention of them in early French literature (800AD). The Bishop of Lyon at that time had written to the local parish priest who was taking over his parish just outside of Lyon. The contents of the manuscript were basically to warn the new priest that there had been "devil worship" by his local parishioners who were collecting seeds out of "flattened circles" and using them for fertility rites.
I spoke to quite a few farmers who remembered seeing "odd shapes" in their fields or their parent's fields when they themselves were young but no real proof. I uncovered information from a second world war pilot who had been returning to RAF Tangmere after an aerial reconnaissance mission over Germany, as he approached the grass runway at his base he saw two flattened circles in the nearby growing cereal crop and photographed them not knowing what they were. I tried in vain to locate these two black and white photographs, which the pilot remembered were handed on the aerial reconnaissance film but once again to no avail. The pilot remembers seeing the film with the German aerial photographs and the two crop circles on it at his debrief which were then sent to the Air Ministry Intelligence at Whitehall.
During the early 1980's there were simple circles appearing in cereal crops ranging in sizes from ten to thirty feet in diameter but as we moved into the latter half of the eighties more complex shapes started to form which generated a lot of media attention.
We had a definite evolution happening with the Crop Circle Formations or Crop Glyphs as they were called and lots of theories being put forward as to the causes ranging from meteorological effects, military experiments through to UFO's and encounters of the human kind. They were, and do not only appear during the hours of darkness, they were and still do not only appear in just summer cereal crops, but in grass, stinging nettles, winter crops such as beet and kale, sugar cane, underwater in rice paddy fields in Japan, in the snow 13,000ft up in the mountains in Afghanistan, in fact world wide, not just restricted to Southern England as quite a few people believed such as the two famous Doug & Dave.
These two hoaxers had claimed to have made all the crop circles in England since 1970's; little did they know then the extent of the formations. Yes, each year we do have formations that are man made, this is in no dispute with any of the researchers, but this does not account for remaining ones for which there appears to be no logical explanation.
With my investigations into the UFO enigma since the 1950's I felt, and still do, that there is a link and in 1988 I started up my own research unit called Crop Phenomena Investigations.
Since that period I have been working with several institutes including the famous Dr. William Levengood's laboratory in America.
He is a biophysicists and with his team carry out research on all samples sent to him from around the world that are taken out of Crop Circle Formations including the ones from this country. He has had his research papers published in several scientific journals worldwide.
What do we really know in regards to the formations?
Fact, we know from the scientific research that I am involved in that they are (the genuine formations) formed by an energy, which has the ability to alter the molecular structure of the plant without damaging it and the ability to alter the growth rate and pattern. This same energy has produced numerous photographic anomalies.
Fact, There is a distortion in the earth's electromagnetic field, sometimes a ghost image a short distance from the original formation.
Fact, spheres of light have been recorded on film in the formations, also military helicopters seen flying over these spheres apparently taking quite a keen interest in them.
Fact, the energy involved appears to be benign and to my knowledge is not used on this planet.
Fact, some formations radiate a frequency at approximately 7.5hz in the electromagnetic spectrum but this can vary from formation to formation. Many researchers and the BBC Television whilst filming in a formation have recorded it. I, recently using the aid of a computer and a specialised programme, have discovered that these beautiful creations of art in the fields are capable of producing the most unusual sounds and music.
Fact, this same frequency has been picked up many times in close proximity to UFO sightings.
Fact, despite several ploughings after the crop has been harvested the shape of some of the formations have remained, in some cases, in the soil for at least six months. This cannot be achieved by "crop formations" made by humans.
Fact, in some of the formations, compasses rotate at will denoting a magnetic anomaly present, camcorders, cell phones and other battery run equipment have displayed a discharged battery state when this is not the case.
Fact, crop outside of the formation does not display the same characteristics changes in cell structure as the crop found inside.
Fact, there is no level of consistency, in some formations we have the sound factor, the magnetic anomalies, photographic anomalies and the lasting impressions in the soil but this is not to say you will find one or all of these in the next formation you visit but it can still turn out to be part of the genuine article.
Fact, if no human being goes into a formation the crop will continue to grow and the farmer will not lose any crop, only possibly what the birds will eat by the downed seeds.
Fact, farmers have combined the formations from their fields to avoid damage by the members of the public when they have occurred only to find another one appear a short distance away the following day.
Fact, mineralogist Sampath Iyengar of Technology of Materials Laboratory examined the degree of crystallinity (the ordering of atoms) in soil samples taken from within the formations using X-ray diffraction and a scanning electron microscope. He was shocked to find a temperature of between 1,500 and 1,800 degrees F would be required to alter the soil crystallinity to the level found and this of course destroy any plants in the formation.
Fact, each year human beings causing untold criminal damage to crops create a large number of formations, and my sincere sympathy goes out to the landowners. I just wish more landowners would prosecute these criminal vandals.

So what are we left with? Beautiful geometric patterns in the fields, which defy our laws of logic, physics and reasoning but none the less, keep appearing worldwide. This does not include the large number that are man-made.
They appear to have a very spiritual, profound effect on all who visit or research them; perhaps if nothing else this is their reason.
Like the UFO scenario, there have been cover-ups with the Crop Circle Formations, they are a mystery which one day mankind will know, for the truth is out there, if you know where to look.

Fact, in some of the formations, compasses rotate at will denoting a magnetic anomaly present, camcorders, cell phones and other battery run equipment have displayed a discharged battery state when this is not the case.
Fact, crop outside of the formation does not display the same characteristics changes in cell structure as the crop found inside.
Fact, there is no level of consistency, in some formations we have the sound factor, the magnetic anomalies, photographic anomalies and the lasting impressions in the soil but this is not to say you will find one or all of these in the next formation you visit but it can still turn out to be part of the genuine article.
Fact, if no human being goes into a formation the crop will continue to grow and the farmer will not lose any crop, only possibly what the birds will eat by the downed seeds.
Fact, farmers have combined the formations from their fields to avoid damage by the members of the public when they have occurred only to find another one appear a short distance away the following day.
Fact, mineralogist Sampath Iyengar of Technology of Materials Laboratory examined the degree of crystallinity (the ordering of atoms) in soil samples taken from within the formations using X-ray diffraction and a scanning electron microscope. He was shocked to find a temperature of between 1,500 and 1,800 degrees F would be required to alter the soil crystallinity to the level found and this of course destroy any plants in the formation.
Fact, each year human beings causing untold criminal damage to crops create a large number of formations, and my sincere sympathy goes out to the landowners. I just wish more landowners would prosecute these criminal vandals.

So what are we left with? Beautiful geometric patterns in the fields, which defy our laws of logic, physics and reasoning but none the less, keep appearing worldwide. This does not include the large number that are man-made.
They appear to have a very spiritual, profound effect on all who visit or research them; perhaps if nothing else this is their reason.
Like the UFO scenario, there have been cover-ups with the Crop Circle Formations, they are a mystery which one day mankind will know, for the truth is out there, if you know where to look.

David Kingston started research into UFOs in 1950's whilst serving in the Royal Air Force as part of my role in RAF Intelligence. He started my own investigations of the Crop Circle phenomena after seeing my first one at the foot of Clay Hill at Warminster, Wiltshire. Explanation: Do underground oceans vent through the tiger stripes on Saturn's moon Enceladus? Long features dubbed tiger stripes are known to be spewing ice from the moon's icy interior into space, creating a cloud of fine ice particles over the moon's South Pole and creating Saturn's mysterious E-ring. Evidence for this has come from the robot Cassini spacecraft now orbiting Saturn. Pictured above, a high resolution image of Enceladus is shown from a close flyby. The unusual surface features dubbed tiger stripes are visible on in false-color blue. Why Enceladus is active remains a mystery, as the neighboring moon Mimas, approximately the same size, appears quite dead. Most recently, an analysis of dust captured by Cassini found evidence for sodium as expected in a deep salty ocean. Conversely however, recent Earth-based observations of ice ejected by Enceladus into Saturn's E-Ring showed no evidence of the expected sodium. Such research is particularly interesting since such an ocean would be a candidate to contain life.

Synagogue of Satan

Spotless Days
Spotless DaysA spotless day is a day without sunspots, a day when the face of the sun is utterly blank. Spotless days never occur during Solar Max when the sun is active, but they are common during solar minimum, the opposite phase of the 11-year sunspot cycle when the sun is very quiet. By counting spotless days, we can keep track of the depth and longevity of a solar minimum.
By the standard of spotless days, the ongoing solar minimum is the deepest in a century: NASA report. In 2008, no sunspots were observed on 266 of the year's 366 days (73%). To find a year with more blank suns, you have to go all the way back to 1913, which had 311 spotless days (85%):
