The other G20
World leaders are preparing to discuss a way out of the global recession at the G20 summit in London. But there's another G20 that doesn't just melt away after a few days - in Glasgow. Meet the residents of an unlikely postcode lottery.
There are no TV crews assembling in Glasgow's Maryhill district, no hushed security sweeps for international dignitaries.
The bakeries, tanning salons and bookmakers which pepper the area's main drag are not about to host any discussions which could transform the world-wide economy.
But it is not just the G20 abbreviation that this traditionally working class corner of inner-city Glasgow shares with the gathering of the planet's top heads of government.
Here, too, the talk is of little else besides the economic slowdown. Except that in places like Maryhill, unemployment, poverty and the credit crunch are more than just abstract terms.
An ominously high number of shopfronts are boarded up. The busiest premises on the Maryhill Road is easily the Job Centre Plus. Next door to the local police station - the setting for ITV's long-running detective drama Taggart - is a pub called The Politician. Its shutters are pulled firmly closed.
Maryhill, like much of west-central Scotland, knows all about recession and hardship. During the 1980s, the region underwent the trauma of rapid deindustrialisation and soaring joblessness that was termed "shock therapy" when it was repeated in Eastern Europe a decade later.

If the Mayan calender is correct then we would be 102 day's away from the final 1260 day's, the second part of the great tribulation, when this sentence was written!
2-WHEN WILL THE TWO WITNESSES BE UPON THE EARTH?
The second part of the Tribulation is 1260 days. When the two witnesses appear upon the earth, their ministry will last 1260 days. Then they will be killed. Their bodies will lie in the street three and a half days. After the three and a half days, they shall stand upon their feet and ascend up to heaven. Combine the length of their ministry with the three and a half days and it equals 1263½ days. This would lead us to believe that they will appear just prior to the midst of the Tribulation or, perhaps, about the same time that the Antichrist shall be killed. Their resurrection must occur prior to the Battle of Armageddon, which is immediately after the Tribulation of those days.
The Scriptures show that they have the power to shut heaven that it rain not in the days of their prophecy.
Many scriptures mention the rain being shut off during the Tribulation. They seem to reveal that this happens during the second part of the Tribulation. We have no scriptural evidence that the rains will be shut off during the first part of the Tribulation. Quite the contrary, we do have evidence from the Scriptures that the springs of waters will flow, and the crops will still be growing. Rain is needed to grow crops. Thus, it seems clear that the two prophets are upon the earth during the second part of the Tribulation, as they have the power TO SHUT HEAVEN, THAT IT RAIN NOT IN THE DAYS OF THEIR PROPHECY-Rev 11:6.
The rain resumes during the first month of the Millennium. This is also a clear indication that the two prophets of God will be upon the earth during the second part of the Tribulation. It is written, BE GLAD THEN, YE CHILDREN OF ZION, AND REJOICE IN THE LORD YOUR GOD: FOR HE HATH GIVEN YOU THE FORMER RAIN MODERATELY, AND HE WILL CAUSE TO COME DOWN FOR YOU THE RAIN, THE FORMER RAIN, AND THE LATTER RAIN IN THE FIRST MONTH. AND THE FLOORS SHALL BE FULL OF WHEAT, AND THE VATS SHALL OVERFLOW WITH WINE AND OIL-Joel 2:23,24. The rain that was held back during the second part of the Tribulation shall come down during the very beginning of the Millennium.
As the Scriptures are studied, regarding some of the vial judgments, it is clear they are brought forth by the two prophets of God and that these judgments are during the second part of the Tribulation. Thus, it seems clear that the two prophets of God are upon the earth during the second part of the Tribulation (the worst part). This is the same time that Jerusalem shall be overrun by the Gentiles. The Antichrist will be in the temple; people will be taking the mark and worshiping the image of the beast. These prophets will be hated by the unbelieving world. Elijah, as mentioned previously, shall come BEFORE…THE GREAT AND DREADFUL DAY OF THE LORD (which is Armageddon). Again, this would put him upon the earth during the second part of the Tribulation.

“IN” THE FINAL THREE & ONE-HALF YEARS:

As regular readers/listeners are aware, on December 14, 2008, the world entered the final 3 1/2 years spoken of throughout prophecy as the end-time of man’s rule on earth. On Pentecost of 2012, the world will experience a final transition from mankind ruling himself to that of God’s government ruling over all nations.
Much of the world of traditional Christianity, and even God’s Church, have long believed that this final time would begin with great destructive events that would immediately lead to the death of tens of thousands of people and then continue to escalate throughout the final 3 1/2 years. This period of time has often been referred to as “the great tribulation,” although the Bible makes no such statement regarding this final 3 1/2 years.
The reality is that the Seventh Seal of Revelation was opened on November 14, 2008, and then 30 days later the First Trumpet sounded. This trumpet is prophetic in nature, yet it will also prove to be very physical in its complete fulfillment. It is prophetic in that it reveals the kind of literal, physical destructiveness that will follow in the fulfillment of the six trumpets that are yet to sound.
We now find ourselves three months into that final 3 1/2 year period of time, but thank God that these massive powers of end-time destruction have not yet been unleashed. The kind of suffering that will finally come to pass is horrific beyond comprehension. God is being merciful by temporarily holding back the day when the Second Trumpet sounds and massive physical destruction begins. As always, it needs to be understood that God is not bringing that destruction upon mankind, but mankind is bringing it upon himself (it will be caused by man). God is now holding back that time of massive physical destruction by not allowing man to start this process for a few more months.
This “holding back” is in large part due to the result of God answering the prayers of His people who set aside a time of fasting, similar to that of Esther, whose results are remembered to this day in what is called the Feast of Purim.
On January 31, the Church of God entered a prolonged fast (a fast that lasts beyond the normal one day), and God’s people petitioned God, humbling themselves in the process, seeking that God would humble more people, and thereby deliver many more than He initially revealed would be saved. This is all the result of God’s will and His purpose that is being worked out for this world, and although God has granted to offer mercy to more people in this end-time by bringing more to humility, the choice of repentance is still in the hands of those whom God humbles and grants mercy. It is sad that there will be many who will still refuse God’s mercy and His offer to save them physically through this final end-time.
The petitions that went up before God were not for the purpose that the destructive power be lessened (as this cannot be changed), but that the period of time of the actual physical suffering from it will be lessened, and that through this very process more people will potentially be able to be saved (who can indeed live on into the millennial period that is rapidly approaching). This not only includes the possibility of many more people of different nations being saved, but it also includes an offer of saving many more who were part of the scattering in the Church after the apostasy in 1994 (who otherwise would not have been given such opportunity and blessing).
Mocking continues:
Sadly, the world, and even the Church that was scattered, is unaware that God’s Church fasted for them and has been praying for them. God is answering those prayers by extending the time before the Second Trumpet sounds and actual massive physical destruction begins in the United States. With this change of timing for the Second Trumpet and with the change of timing that occurred in the revelation of the “50 Truth” to God’s people, all others who are without this knowledge or that are unbelieving of such matters often turn to mocking that which they do not see.
We understand the inability of people to “see” what God is doing during the timing of this First Trumpet, so we recognize the need to endure more ridicule and skepticism for a longer period of time. It really doesn’t matter that people don’t yet accept what is true, but what is important is that more of them can be saved through what is coming. Those who are saved through all this will one day be very thankful to God and to His Church for what they did on their behalf.
Foolishly there are those who are quick to find fault by saying we are wrong or that I am a false prophet since physical destruction did not come at a time I had previously stated. It is easy to see, that without the understanding of “why” some matters of timing have changed, that some would doubt or ridicule what is true. Yet the time for the final 3 1/2 years has not changed at all. We are in it! We are in the countdown before the actual day Jesus Christ returns to this earth as King of kings. There are those who unwittingly and ignorantly seem to wish that destruction was already occurring and that great suffering was already here. But that will come soon enough!
Many do not “get it” concerning the title of the last book that was published. It is 2008 – God’s Final Witness. That was the final and the last year for a witness to be given to mankind at the end of 6,000 years of man’s self-rule. At the end of 2008, the final 3 1/2 years commenced. Mankind has already received his last warning and it was God’s final witness.
Before the Second Trumpet is blown, God is giving more time for people to be humbled before actual physical destruction begins on a massive scale (whereby more can be saved). Rather than physical destruction beginning immediately, more people can actually be brought to humility through the prolonged process we are now experiencing, which will then be followed by massive physical destruction. This extension of time for the duration of the First Trumpet will help bring about more humbling through a process of people experiencing more fully the steady destruction of our economic system. It is where people have placed their trust rather than in God and obedience to His ways.
It’s the economy, stupid!
The quote, “It’s the economy, stupid!” has been repeated much in recent years. When the economy is down, it does get the attention of people. This is the very tool God is now using at the beginning of this 3 1/2 year period that will help begin to humble people and prepare many more for greater humbling once the Second Trumpet has blown.
Governments and corporations have practiced wrong economic principles that are responsible for breeding and providing fuel to greed, misuse of power, and the selfish use of wealth. The leader of this has been the United States. The very process of how the government has established the U.S. Dollar, the Federal Reserve System, the Federal Reserve Bank, Central and Commercial Banks, the Treasury, the IRS, Treasury Bills, with all its convoluted and intertwined workings that has established this entire worldwide economic system, is now falling apart.
Today’s predominating and sustaining financial system that the global economy has been woven from originated in the United States and it is now coming unraveled! There is no mending that will save it. It is doomed to complete destruction. That is prophetic and the truth of it is from God. Such a system cannot stand because it is against the laws of God. Yet the world has established itself upon this false Babylonish System, whether they know it or not. Initially, some nations believed they were immune from what has been happening in the collapsing global economy originating out of the United States, but they are quickly learning that they are very deeply tied into it. They are now finding just how attached they really are. Through time, they have become part of the same Babylonish System.
The pride of mankind is strong. Although the process of collapse has begun, people do not yet grasp how severe this is. As more is taken away, people will be humbled more. Even now, we are witnessing a growing loss of faith that people have in the economic system, banking, wall street, corporations, unions, investor consultants and so called financial experts, and in the very government they believed would intervene to save them. There is no system, no government, no person, no plan, nor anything or anyone but God who can now save people from what is happening in this world.
This first phase of destruction is one that hurts people financially and affects every facet of personal life, from food, clothing, housing, transportation, livelihood, etc. It is all encompassing in the daily lives of millions. The collapsing financial system of this world is only the beginning of a humbling process for mankind. This is why there are Seven Thunders that will continue to sound and increase in power and frequency. This is why there are Seven Trumpets to be blown. It takes much to humble the nature of mankind!
We are witnessing the collapse of the United States, followed by the complete collapse of all governments of mankind. It has already begun. Nothing can change the course of what is happening. The merchants of the earth are beginning to mourn for what they see collapsing before them.
The Prophetic Sixth Seal:
The prophecies concerning the further fulfillment of what is pictured through the events of 9/11 are well under way, but the world and the Church that was scattered are fully asleep to this truth. The prophetic Sixth Seal that manifests the destruction of 9/11 is beginning to be fulfilled now that the Seventh Seal has been opened and the First Trumpet has already been blown.
The prophetic destruction manifested in 9/11 was followed by a temporary shut down of Wall Street and the plunging of the Dow. It truly takes a lot to humble people, for how soon we all forget. People were shocked and horrified by those events that shook the economic world. Before 9/11 the Dow had been fluctuating between the 10,000 and 11,000 level.
Following 9/11, the Dow plunged in October of 2001 to 7,300. Over the years to follow, it continued to climb until it hit a high of 14,164 in October of 2007. Since that time, the Dow has steadily declined and has now surpassed the plummet that followed 9/11. This is indeed a time for humbling people as they see their hopes and faith for increased wealth diminished exceedingly, far below expectations.
God has taken away the blessing of wealth that He gave to the U.S. It was God who made the U.S. great. “We the people” did not make it great. Wealth and prosperity is steadily being stripped away, and this will continue until everything has been fully diminished. All of this is part of the power to humble in order to save.

The man who created two phenomenally successful "We The People" YouTube videos urging Americans to stand up against Congress and reclaim their republic now – or perhaps lose it forever – reportedly has been summoned to the White House by President Obama to discuss the subject matter of the short films.
Bob Basso, who posts videos under the name funbobbasso on YouTube, has created videos in which he portrays Thomas Paine, author of the "Common Sense" pamphlet that made the case for independence during the American Revolution.
Basso, whose website offers his services as a motivational speaker, uses the YouTube presentations to condemn "non-representing representatives" and warns, "Only when they feel the almighty wrath of 'We The People' marching in the streets from California to New York shouting 'We're mad as hell and we want our country back' will they get the message they work for you."

Tens of thousands of people have marched through London demanding action on poverty, climate change and jobs, ahead of next week's G20 summit.
The Put People First alliance of 150 charities and unions walked from Embankment to Hyde Park for a rally.
Speakers are to call on G20 leaders to pursue a new kind of global justice.
A big security operation is under way in case the protest turns violent, but police say it has been relatively quiet with no arrests so far.
Police estimate that 35,000 people are at the protest.

Japan has certified a man aged 93 as the only known survivor of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, both hit by atomic bombs towards the end of World War II.
Tsutomu Yamaguchi was in Hiroshima on a business trip on 6 August 1945 when a US plane dropped the first atomic bomb.
He suffered serious burns and spent a night there before returning to his home city of Nagasaki just before it was bombed on 9 August.
He said he hoped his experience held a lesson of peace for future generations.
'Horrifying history'
It was already recorded that Mr Yamaguchi had survived the Nagasaki bomb but on Tuesday officials recognised that he had been in Hiroshima as well.
More than 200,000 people were killed in the two atomic bombings
Certification as a hibakusha or radiation survivor qualifies Japanese citizens for government compensation, including medical check-ups, and funeral costs.
His double dose of atomic bombs, however, does not mean Mr Yamaguchi's compensation will increase, a Nagasaki city official said.
"My double radiation exposure is now an official government record," Mr Yamaguchi told reporters.
"It can tell the younger generation the horrifying history of the atomic bombings even after I die."
About 140,000 people were killed in Hiroshima and 70,000 in Nagasaki.
Many survivors fell sick with radiation-related illnesses, including cancers, for years after the bombings.

Unusual Animal Deaths from Half Cats to Mutilated Cows

Over the years, recurring cycles of cat mutilations have been reported in England, Canada and many states in America. Texas has had repeated cat mutilations in Corpus Cristi, San Antonio, Austin, and Plano, Texas, an affluent suburb north of Dallas. In 1991, 1993 and the late 1990s, Texas police received dozens of reports about cats found cut in half, usually with the front half near the owners' yards or sidewalks. Plano Police Detective Mike Box also had missing reports on more than 80 domestic house cats that wore collars and I. D. tags, but were never found. Detective Box investigated satanic cult activities, but could not find any evidence that connected them to the mutilated and missing cats and other animals such as dogs.

I saw one other mutilation two or three years after my first 1995 mutilation where one of my neighbors down the road was taking care of some cows for another neighbor who was in California. And he come up and said, ‘Hey, I’ve got this cow and she’s kind of weird. You’ve had one mutilated so why don’t you come with me and take a look?’
When we got there, it was the same as my first mutilation. She was on her back and with her udder taken out and the exterior of the vaginal opening was also taken out. But what was weird about this cow, we saw also that the jawbone flesh was taken, as you have mentioned happens in so many mutilations you've investigated.

1970s. Many animals were so freshly dead that the bodies were warm to touch
at the scene. The jaw bone cleaned of flesh, tongue removed, “cookie cutter” circular
removal of flesh around the eye and removal of eyeball was a common pattern
of bloodless tissue removal from mutilated animals in the 1970s to 1990s.
Being dropped from above on to the ground was first reported by sheriffs who worked with veterinarians or medical people on necropsies of the strangely dead animals. When multiple broken bones were found, the conclusion was: the animal had to have been dropped from a considerable height to where it was found dead and mutilated.
One of the definitive cases on this was one I investigated in Montana a couple of years ago. The sheriff called me to say they had a bounce mark about three feet from where a large cow was found dead and mutilated. Biophysicist W. C. Levengood was able to work with soil and pasture grass I collected at the site and compare to laboratory impact stress on soils. He confirmed the soil in the crater next to the mutilated cow had been impacted by a weight from above equivalent to the weight of the full grown cow. In another sighting, a triangular craft hovered then "shot off at 500mph".

Water shortages are predicted across large parts of Africa, Europe and Asia
Growing world population will cause a "perfect storm" of food, energy and water shortages by 2030, the UK government chief scientist has warned.
By 2030 the demand for resources will create a crisis with dire consequences, Prof John Beddington said.
Demand for food and energy will jump 50% by 2030 and for fresh water by 30%, as the population tops 8.3 billion, he told a conference in London.
Climate change will exacerbate matters in unpredictable ways, he added.
'Complacent'
"It's a perfect storm," Prof Beddington told the Sustainable Development UK 09 conference.
'Perfect storm' poses global threat, says Professor Beddington
"There's not going to be a complete collapse, but things will start getting really worrying if we don't tackle these problems."
Prof Beddington said the looming crisis would match the current one in the banking sector.

Teens capture images of space with £56 camera and balloon

Taking atmospheric readings and photographs 20 miles above the ground, the Meteotek team of IES La Bisbal school in Catalonia completed their incredible experiment at the end of February this year.
Who needs a flash camera to photograph space when you've got a £56 one and a balloon?
Ocean monitoring system 'vital to mankind'Building the electronic sensor components from scratch, Gerard Marull Paretas, Sergi Saballs Vila, Marta Gasull Morcillo and Jaume Puigmiquel Casamort managed to send their heavy duty £43 latex balloon to the edge of space and take readings of its ascent.
Created by the four students under the guidance of teacher Jordi Fanals Oriol, the budding scientists, all aged 18-19, followed the progress of their balloon using high tech sensors communicating with Google Earth.

Recorded on February 24, this Hubble image is part of a sequence showing the transit of four of Saturn's moons. From left to right are Enceladus and shadow, Dione and shadow, and Saturn's largest moon Titan. Small moon Mimas is just touching Saturn's disk near the ring plane at the far right. The shadows of Titan and Mimas have both moved off the right side of the disk. Saturn itself has an equatorial diameter of about 120,000 kilometers.

A lucky viewer of NASA TV got the surprise of his/her life yesterday. While watching live footage of the STS-119 Space Shuttle mission he/she noticed an extra-ordinarily clear UFO pass by the craft. The stunned viewer managed to record it and upload it onto YouTube.
Internet UFO forums are going into frenzy mode over the find. Due to its clarity it seems to defy past explanations for such objects by NASA. The object clearly passes the craft and is unlikely to be explained away as a mere reflection. The classic disc shaped UFO is surprisingly similar in shape to so many recent sightings on earth. Many now believe that these alien craft appear differently on film depending on whether they are recorded out at space or within the atmosphere.
The STS-119 is the current space shuttle mission to the International Space Station being flown by Space Shuttle Discovery for the purpose of delivering essential equipment. Its launch occurred on March 15, 2009, at 7:43 pm.

The bright lights of Tucson, Arizona, are more than matched by a flash of lightning far above the city skyline. The sunset scene shows a classic cumulonimbus cloud formation.
The summit of Washington's Mount Rainier lies hidden beneath a stack of horizontally layered lenticular clouds. These clouds are formed by high winds blowing over rough terrain and are sometimes described as a "stack of pancakes."

There is a lot of disinformation about these "Fire Rainbows" on the net. They started showing up about 10 years ago and are NOT rare. I have seen three so far this year.
They can appear at many sun angles and are NOT just seen around a solstice. Note also that the moon now has a COLOR rainbow effect around it at times too. Also that the sun has at times a full circle around it in color too. They are NOT in any of the old textbooks about the atmosphere over ten years ago either.

Bizarre colorful (luminous/glowing) cloud phenomenon in the sky was observed about 30 mins before the May 12, 2008 Sichuan earthquake took place. This was recorded in Tianshui, Gansu province ~450km northeast of epicenter, by someone using a cell phone.

These clouds seemed to be glowing or somewhat luminous and seemed to resemble some characteristics of the Auroras. I am not sure exactly what they were or whether they indeed had anything to do with the quake. I am no expert anyways. See if any scientists are willing to give a full explanation.
If such phenomenon can be proved for its connection with earthquake occurrences, maybe they could be used as warning signs and would be life saving. If not, just learn these clouds as yet another rare atmospheric phenomenon and no need to panic when seeing them.
After all, this might well be just a rare atmospheric phenomenon occurred by coincidence. Though, just wondering if there's any possibility the formation of such rare clouds be catalyzed by any event??

This is wonderfull!
These two photos were sent to me back in July of 2003 and was the first image I had seen of these remarkable rainbow effects in the clouds. It was taken by a friend of a friend and given to me to use in the investigation that Gale and I were doing on the "signs in the heavens" research.
These effects in our atmosphere are relatively new, only having shown up in the past few years.
You will not find them in the older books on atmospheric phenomena. We all know that it is a
water mist, or spray, rain, or ice crystals that can cause such beautiful sights. Gale and I suspect
that there is a whole lot more water / ice crystals now in our atmosphere than in the past. Why?
Yes, "signs in the heavens" is pretty much everything over one's head. (No pun intended) Night or day many have seen strange inexplicable things. UFOs would, of course, be one of those signs I propose. Even our aircraft could be classed in that category, same could be said for our space program.

Tucson Infralateral Arc and Circumscribed Halo

The white parhelic circle passes through the sun and circles around sky, everywhere at the same altitude. The coloured halos at top right are fragments of a 22 degree halo, circumscribed arc and, on the parhelic circle, two sundogs. Had the sun been any higher the sundogs would not have formed.

January 15, 2009—Like glowing parentheses, two sun dogs gave cold-bitten Omaha, Nebraska, residents a reason to go outside Wednesday.
Typically seen to the left and right of a low-lying sun, sun dogs, or parhelia, can take a number of forms—from slightly brighter segments of a solar halo (as shown) to rainbow-hued horizontal streaks to blinding spots nearly indistinguishable from the sun itself.
The sharpness, movement, and orientation of hexagonal, cloudborne ice crystals determine a sun dog's shape, sharpness, and color. Mottled, wobbling, or tall crystals, for example, generally result in more diffuse or colorful displays.

Lenticular Clouds Above Washington

Explanation: Are those UFOs near that mountain? No -- they are multilayered lenticular clouds. Moist air forced to flow upward around mountain tops can create lenticular clouds. Water droplets condense from moist air cooled below the dew point, and clouds are opaque groups of water droplets. Waves in the air that would normally be seen horizontally can then be seen vertically, by the different levels where clouds form. On some days the city of Seattle, Washington, USA, is treated to an usual sky show when lenticular clouds form near Mt. The bright lights of Tucson, Arizona, are more than matched by a flash of lightning far above the city skyline. The sunset scene shows a classic cumulonimbus cloud formation.
The summit of Washington's Mount Rainier lies hidden beneath a stack of horizontally layered lenticular clouds. These clouds are formed by high winds blowing over rough terrain and are sometimes described as a "stack of pancakes."

Though light pillars are often caused by artificial light, sun pillars, as in the above picture, occur when sunlight reflects off the facets of millions of flat ice crystals in very cold air.
February 18, 2009--Light pillars scrape the night sky over Victor, Idaho, on January 26. Typically seen in polar regions, the vertical columns of light have been appearing along with frigid temperatures at lower latitudes this winter.

There is a lot of disinformation about these "Fire Rainbows" on the net. They started showing up about 10 years ago and are NOT rare. I have seen three so far this year.
They can appear at many sun angles and are NOT just seen around a solstice. Note also that the moon now has a COLOR rainbow effect around it at times too. Also that the sun has at times a full circle around it in color too. They are NOT in any of the old textbooks about the atmosphere over ten years ago either.
How the sky looked 30 minutes before the recent Chinese quake!
Bizarre colorful (luminous/glowing) cloud phenomenon in the sky was observed about 30 mins before the May 12, 2008 Sichuan earthquake took place. This was recorded in Tianshui, Gansu province ~450km northeast of epicenter, by someone using a cell phone.

These clouds seemed to be glowing or somewhat luminous and seemed to resemble some characteristics of the Auroras. I am not sure exactly what they were or whether they indeed had anything to do with the quake. I am no expert anyways. See if any scientists are willing to give a full explanation.
If such phenomenon can be proved for its connection with earthquake occurrences, maybe they could be used as warning signs and would be life saving. If not, just learn these clouds as yet another rare atmospheric phenomenon and no need to panic when seeing them.
After all, this might well be just a rare atmospheric phenomenon occurred by coincidence. Though, just wondering if there's any possibility the formation of such rare clouds be catalyzed by any event??

This is wonderfull!
These two photos were sent to me back in July of 2003 and was the first image I had seen of these remarkable rainbow effects in the clouds. It was taken by a friend of a friend and given to me to use in the investigation that Gale and I were doing on the "signs in the heavens" research.
These effects in our atmosphere are relatively new, only having shown up in the past few years.
You will not find them in the older books on atmospheric phenomena. We all know that it is a
water mist, or spray, rain, or ice crystals that can cause such beautiful sights. Gale and I suspect
that there is a whole lot more water / ice crystals now in our atmosphere than in the past. Why?
Yes, "signs in the heavens" is pretty much everything over one's head. (No pun intended) Night or day many have seen strange inexplicable things. UFOs would, of course, be one of those signs I propose. Even our aircraft could be classed in that category, same could be said for our space program.

Yet they still don't want you to know that these are very new to mankind. They were never around in our youth unless you are only ten years old now.
Tucson Infralateral Arc and Circumscribed Halo
Parhelic Circle over the Dead Sea imaged by Koby Harati ( Photography site) on March 7, 2007. The camera is pointing straight upwards. The white parhelic circle passes through the sun and circles around sky, everywhere at the same altitude. The coloured halos at top right are fragments of a 22 degree halo, circumscribed arc and, on the parhelic circle, two sundogs. Had the sun been any higher the sundogs would not have formed.

Double Sun Dog Dazzles Icy Omaha
January 15, 2009—Like glowing parentheses, two sun dogs gave cold-bitten Omaha, Nebraska, residents a reason to go outside Wednesday.
Typically seen to the left and right of a low-lying sun, sun dogs, or parhelia, can take a number of forms—from slightly brighter segments of a solar halo (as shown) to rainbow-hued horizontal streaks to blinding spots nearly indistinguishable from the sun itself.
The sharpness, movement, and orientation of hexagonal, cloudborne ice crystals determine a sun dog's shape, sharpness, and color. Mottled, wobbling, or tall crystals, for example, generally result in more diffuse or colorful displays.
